Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing. The following cancellation charges will be payable, depending upon number of days prior to departure. Please note that special cancellation penalties for peak periods will be applicable and these can be obtained at the time of booking.

More than 60 days loss of deposit
59 – 45 days prior to departure    30% of total holiday cost
44 – 30 days prior to departure    40% of total holiday cost
29 – 20 days prior to departure    60% of total holiday cost
19 – 11 days prior to departure    80% of total holiday cost
10 days or less to departure    100% of total holiday

a) Any amendments made to a confirmed booking will be charged and amendment fee of US$ 15.00 for each alteration. Administration fees will be charged for any documents to be re-issued or for refund.

The Company applies all reasonable checks to ensure that those involved in the preparation and provision of a holiday maintain the appropriate standards.

The description, information and opinions given by WildRoutes Adventure Travel in respect of the hotels, car hire, packages and other suppliers whose services are used are given in good faith, based on the latest information available at the time.

WildRoutes Adventure Travel may at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself at any time cancel or terminate the client’s booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the a foregoing it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behaviour of the client, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.

In addition WildRoutes Adventure Travel shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any trip or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other details and, in the event of any services being rendered impossible, illegal or advisable by weather, strike, war, government or interference or any other cause whatsoever, the extra expenses incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the passenger.

WildRoutes Adventure Travel accepts liability for any loss the client may suffer if any part of the holiday arrangements that the clients may book before departure are not as described and not of a reasonable standard. WildRoutes Adventure Travel also accepts liability if the client suffer death or personal injury as a direct result of these holiday arrangements failing to be as described and of a reasonable standard. However, these acceptances of liability do not apply if there has been no fault on the part of WildRoutes Adventure Travel or its servants, agents or suppliers and the loss, death or personal injury suffered is attributable to clients’ own acts or omissions or to the acts or omissions of a third party not involved in providing the services which make up the client’s holiday, or to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances or events which could not have been anticipated or avoided by the WildRoutes Adventure Travel or its workers, agents or suppliers even with the exercise of all due care.


Provided full payment has been received by WildRoutes Adventure Travel a complete document pack will be handed at the first port of entry in Zimbabwe/Botswana/Namibia/Victoria Falls. The travel documents will only be prepared once full payment has been received.

If you are (client) unhappy with any aspect of WildRoutes Adventure Travel’ arrangements while on holiday, you must address the complaint immediately with WildRoutes Adventure or our local representative or the management of the hotel or other supplier whose services are involved. If the problem cannot be solved locally and they wish to complain, full details must be sent to WildRoutes Adventure Travel in writing within 30 days of client’s return. Failure to take these steps will deny WildRoutes Adventure Travel the opportunity to resolve the problem immediately and/or investigate it properly.

Whilst WildRoutes Adventure Travel uses its best endeavours to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against WildRoutes Adventure Travel or a refund either in the whole or part of, if any accommodation or excursion is not available and a reasonable alternative is not found. If the client is unable to use any service provided in the itinerary, then there are no refunds due.

The onus is upon the client to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries to be visited. WildRoutes Adventure Travel, its staff and its agents cannot be held responsible for any visas, etc. not held by the client, or the cost of visas.

It is advisable that all travellers take out a comprehensive travel insurance cover, when paying deposit, to cover for cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, personal baggage, emergency evacuation back home and money.
