Chewore Lodge
Chewore Lodge and Campsite is situated in a beautiful woodland setting at the confluence of the Chewore and Zambezi Rivers. This is a prime fishing and wildlife location within the Chewore Safari Area, which is one of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites situated along The Zambezi Valley. This valley, which runs along the border between northern Zimbabwe and Zambia is one of the largest, most remote, least populated and undeveloped wilderness areas on planet earth. Inaccessible other than by air or 4X4 vehicle the area is a pristine untamed wilderness area teeming with wildlife. There are two large, luxurious pontoon fishing boats, fully equipped with fishing tackle and experienced drivers to take you out on the river for game viewing, fishing or a sundowner cruise.

Room Types
There are 10 campsites which cater for up to 4 people each. Each campsite has its own shower and toilet with an efficient wood-fired boiler for a hot shower in the cooler months. Each site has a braai/kitchen area with a deep freeze and plug point and there are lights over the kitchen and bathroom area during the night. Fuel, ice and firewood can be purchased on site and there is a communal swimming pool for all campsites.

The lodge comprises four double/twin chalets all with en-suite bathrooms and unsurpassed views of the beautiful Zambezi River.

A central lounge, bar, swimming pool and dining area are part of the main establishment.
Things to do at Chewore Lodge and Camp sites
Mana Pools National Park is synonymous with the Zambezi River, elephants, lions, remoteness and wilderness. Hippopotamus, crocodiles and a wide variety of aquatic birds are associated with the pools.
Birding Safaris
Chewore offers some of the most rewarding bird viewing opportunities in Zimbabwe with over 400 known bird species residing in Chewore's diverse habitats consisting of wetlands, thornveld, bushveld, savannah and riverine forest.
Fishing Safari
The Zambezi River is home to a wide range of freshwater fish, most of which can be caught on rod and reel. The most famous of these is undoubtedly the fighting Tiger Fish, large specimens of which abound in the waters around Chewore Lodge and Campsite. Fishing expeditions are guided by experienced fishing guides who are able to ensure that visitors are exposed to the finest fishing opportunities available in the area.

Wildlife in Mana Pools
Mana Pools National Park lies at the heart of the Zambezi Valley, a remote, beautiful place with spectacular views. The area offers large concentrations of buffalo and elephant, while predators such as lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are often sighted. Greater kudu, Burchell's zebra, impala, warthog and common waterbuck can be seen on the surrounding plains and the grunting of hippo can be heard all day. Birdlife is superb, with numerous local specials like collared palm-thrush and racket-tailed roller.
