Tucked away under a hill on the eastern shores of Lake Mutirikwi, lies a lodge architecturally crafted to reminisce the ancient Great Zimbabwe, the second largest stone monuments in Africa. Each of the 20 individual lodges overlooks Lake Mutirikwi, Zimbabwe’s largest inland water body. Each lodge is a detached and self contained spacious facility adorned with en suite facilities. Visitors can lounge in the spacious lobby hall and bar, pace the infinitely apportioned garden, or take in the spectacular scenes from the restaurant views as they tuck in sumptuous local and international cuisine. Our Spacious Restaurant
This fresh and welcoming restaurant is our breakfast venue, offering a buffet-style meal for guests who enjoy either a Full English or Continental breakfast. Start your day off with a veritable feast of fresh fruits, pastries, cold meats and hot dishes. Breakfast is served from 6.30am, so it's the ideal venue for our business travellers and is served until 10am for guests looking for a hearty meal before they head off for a day of exploration. It is open at lunchtimes when there are group bookings and is also open for dinner on special occasions. The dishes are varied and the popular buffet offers choice and quality at very competitive rates.

Boat Cruise
A Boat Cruise the blue waters of the second largest man made dam in Zimbabwe after Kariba dam is an unforgettable experience. Lake Mutirikwi, formerly known as Lake Kyle, is man-made lake located 32km south east of Masvingo. At more than 300 metres long, it is the third largest dam in Zimbabwe. The dam wall rises 63 meters from the bed of a narrow granite gorge and features one of Zimbabwe’s most varied shorelines, with beautiful granite cliffs and tree-lined rocky beaches.
Visited our next-door neighbour, Kyle Recreational Park and can spot a lot of game, including zebras, kudus, buffalos, warthogs and a pack of 8 white rhinos. The Park is home to more than 25 species of wild mammals, including buffalo, zebra, jackal, leopard, honey badger, hippo, giraffe, warthog, ostrich, and many species of antelope. The park has a large breeding population of white rhino, and some of the world’s largest lizards (up to 3 metres in length). There is a wide range of grassland and water birds that also make their home at Lake Mutirikwi.
Guided Tour of the Monument
Start the adventure by climbing the 100 m high Mountain , exploring the whole monument, a guide will let you in and out of the walls and discover the secrets of the tower and passageways. This is the largest stone city on a 720 hectares of land. This is the largest stone structure after the Pyramids of Egypt. The entire city was built using individually shaped and placed stones creating walls 2 meters thick and up to 11 meters high. The huge enclosure at Zimbabwe Ruins is one of the great sights of Africa – an aging monument to what was once a booming city of 40 000 people. Great Zimbabwe, as the ruins are known, is the largest complex of its kind in sub-Sahara Africa, and was built 700 years ago by the ancestors of the Shona.
